Community Land Trust National Conference – Creating Affordable Housing
Max Comfort, Director, E-cohousing Development Company will lead a fringe event at the CLT National Conference.
This fringe event will explore cohousing, a Danish concept delivering a rich balance of community and privacy, and a lifestyle that is remarkably sustainable. Laughton Lodge in Sussex is the first large cohousing scheme to be built in the UK. The first new build cohousing community is Springhill, Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Sarah Berger from Laughton and Max Comfort from Springhill lead this event which will explain what it is like to be a cohouser, what it takes to create a cohousing project and how it could be a key element in the creation of affordable housing based on CLTs.
The 2008 National CLT Conference will take place at Church House Conference Centre, London on 30th April.
